1 Age

  • 1. I feel we live in the kind of culture now where you have to be very smart to navigate the right way and I just don't have those smarts. I think with age and time it will change but I can't obsess about it.
  • 2. The great secret that all old people share is that you really haven't changed in seventy or eighty years. Your body changes but you don't change at all. And that of course causes great confusion.

2 Amazing

  • 1. If you're a basketball player and you don't stop and take pictures with your fans you can have an amazing game and everyone still loves you.
  • 2. Well Freddie Mercury is a really huge rock star in my head. I've always thought he was just so tough and such an amazing entertainer really a contradiction in many ways as well. So he was incredible.
  • 3. I love Prince Harry. Good looking and a bit of a rebel. Me and his dad are as thick as thieves and I knew Harry before I knew his dad so we've met a few times. I think he's amazing. And I think you can relate to him because he's made mistakes. He's cool.

3 Anger

  • 1. I was never jailed. The fact is that I was arrested but I went into a diversion programme and by that time I'd already begun working in what was called anger management. It was a painful and awful moment.
  • 2. My humour has always come from anger but I have to make sure I don't just get angry and jump on a soapbox.
  • 3. For me music is a vehicle to bring our pain to the surface getting it back to that humble and tender spot where with luck it can lose its anger and become compassion again.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. So I think you have to marry for the right reasons and marry the right person.
