My birth neither shook the German Empire nor caused much of an upheaval in the home. It pleased mother caused father a certain amount of pride and my elder brother the usual fraternal jealousy of a hitherto only son.

That's one of the reasons I moved to Florida. Of course the main reason is the weather and the training. But there's more jealousy in Switzerland because it's so little and they don't have so many athletes.

  • 1. I don't believe in happy endings but I do believe in happy travels because ultimately you die at a very young age or you live long enough to watch your friends die. It's a mean thing life.
  • 2. I also find it interesting that a lot of people in their 30s are not married and don't have kids. There are a lot of people in this age bracket that are out there dating and trying to find love. And I never thought that at my age I would be.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I spend up to two hours a day on correspondence. Hearing from fans on the Internet and being able to directly respond to the fan base is exciting. You can cut out the middle man like the fan club… before a recent appearance in Tyler Texas I had fans reaching out on MySpace offering their lake house Mavericks tickets. It was amazing.
  • 2. Well it was the beginning of my film career. It was amazing to me that I got nominated for an Academy Award.
  • 3. The thing is I don't believe in most of what's done. The amount of financial and imaginative energy that's put into mediocrity is just amazing which I find to be fundamentally offensive as a human being.

3 Anger

  • 1. All who consult on doubtful matters should be void of hatred friendship anger and pity.
  • 2. I'm not as angry as I used to be. But I can get in touch with that anger pretty quickly if I feel my space is being invaded or somebody is not treating me with the respect that I think I want.
  • 3. There's a lot of bitterness there's a lot of anger out there. We all have to work hard to heal those wounds.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The secret of a happy marriage is finding the right person. You know they're right if you love to be with them all the time.
  • 2. One should believe in marriage as in the immortality of the soul.
  • 3. I think you have to be willing to take a bullet for somebody if you're going to stand up there take your vows and be married to them for the rest of your life.
