Obviously in dealing with a relationship sexuality has to be involved and jealousy and emotions like that. And I don't know I've always been intrigued by those emotions.

2 Amazing

  • 3. Moby Dick – that book is so amazing. I just realized that it starts with two characters meeting in bed that's how my book begins too but I hadn't noticed the parallel before two characters forced to share a bed reluctantly.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger and jealousy can no more bear to lose sight of their objects than love.
  • 2. When someone says that I'm angry it's actually a compliment. I have not always been direct with my anger in my relationships which is part of why I'd write about it in my songs because I had such fear around expressing anger as a woman.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. You marry somebody you love everything about them. You grow to learn about them. You never learn everything.
  • 2. Both the Obama and Romney campaigns said they pulled all their political ads today in observance of the September 11th anniversary. But politics wasn't very far offstage. The Obama campaign sees foreign policy as an advantage this year.
  • 3. The day before the anniversary of D-Day we lost a man who was equaled by few and surpassed by none as a leader in the cause of freedom: Ronald Reagan.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I don't know why I've always been so captivated by architecture.
  • 2. Nothing requires the architect's care more than the due proportions of buildings.
  • 3. Space has always been the spiritual dimension of architecture. It is not the physical statement of the structure so much as what it contains that moves us.
