I am not opposed to intelligence reform on its face but any changes should reflect the current context.

It is not government's job to mandate responsibility on our behalf. We have the intelligence and good sense to make wise consumption choices for ourselves and our children. It is up to us to do what is best for our health and our children's health.

1 Age

  • 1. When I write about a 15-year old I jump I return to the days when I was that age. It's like a time machine. I can remember everything. I can feel the wind. I can smell the air. Very actually. Very vividly.
  • 2. My view is pensioners don't have the one option that people of working age have. They can't really increase their income because they are no longer able to work.
  • 3. It begins and ends with money. It's absurd in this day and age when we need so much money for education health for people that a $100 million dollars can be spent on a film. It's obscene.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I saw 'The Artist.' It's really beautiful and it's all done to the letter with all the silent film techniques. The costumes were amazing and the dog is so good.
  • 2. It's been amazing the number of commercials that I've done starting back in 1968. It must be 8 000.
  • 3. It's amazing to me that they're cutting physical education programs in the school systems.

3 Anger

  • 1. It's a joke to think that anyone is one thing. We're all such complex creatures. But if I'm going to be a poster child for anything anger's a gorgeous emotion. It gets a bad rap but it can make great changes happen.
  • 2. For me music is a vehicle to bring our pain to the surface getting it back to that humble and tender spot where with luck it can lose its anger and become compassion again.
  • 3. In our daily life we encounter people who are angry deceitful intent only on satisfying their own needs. There is so much anger distrust greed and pettiness that we are losing our capacity to work well together.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. That there's no more important decision in life than who you marry.
  • 2. We had a relationship that lasted 44 years. Herbert and I lived together 10 years before we were married. He always gave me a little heart for whatever anniversary.
  • 3. June 2005 is the five year anniversary of the debut of Battle Pope.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The mother art is architecture. Without an architecture of our own we have no soul of our own civilization.
  • 2. I mean certainly writing painting photography dance architecture there is an aspect of almost every art form that is useful and that merges into film in some way.
  • 3. Noble life demands a noble architecture for noble uses of noble men. Lack of culture means what it has always meant: ignoble civilization and therefore imminent downfall.
