  • 1. The young people have MTV and rock and roll. Why would they go to read poetry? Poetry belongs to the Stone Age. It awakens in us perceptions that go back to those times.
  • 2. I definitely don't look my age. So I actively look for roles that will help people change their perception of me.

2 Amazing

  • 1. At first I missed it but it was the amazing energy thing that happened during shows when a lot of people were like Yay Yay Yeah! I missed that for a while. But I don't miss the regular and the business side of that whole thing.

3 Anger

  • 1. I think I would cope like anyone copes with any tragedy. I'm sure I would be very upset for a while and then there would come a point where I would either have to stay in this place of darkness and anger or I'd have to accept that it happened.
  • 2. A little anger is a good thing if it isn't on your own behalf if it's for others deserving of your anger your empathy.
  • 3. I had a lot of anger inside me and that came out at times that were not particularly advantageous to me career-wise.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The London games mark the 24th anniversary of my winning two golds and setting the world record in the heptathlon. Someone is going to want it records are made to be broken – it's only a matter of time. I hope mine will outlive me.
  • 2. Why does a woman work ten years to change a man's habits and then complain that he's not the man she married?
  • 3. This year as we celebrate the 230th anniversary of America's independence please remember the symbols that are sacred to this country. Fly Old Glory high and show your respect and admiration for this great nation and the values we hold dear.

5 Architecture
