  • 1. There's also some element of coming of age during the Reagan administration which everybody has painted as some glorious time in America but I remember as being a very very dark time. There was apocalypse in the air the punk rock movement made sense.

2 Amazing

  • 1. Every time I got 'Amazing Spider-Man' or 'Fantastic Four' or another book firmly on the rails we got pulled into some big event book or crossover and it cost momentum and messed badly with the pacing and structure of the book.
  • 2. I thoroughly enjoyed working on Enemy of the State. Tony Scott is an important director and has an amazing ability to express himself and he doesn't do it in musical terms he does it in emotional terms. I got along really well with him.
  • 3. 'True Blood' is amazing. I have to give a shout out to 'Melrose Place' because I do watch. I love 'Entourage.' One of my favorite shows back in the day was 'Friday Night Lights.'

3 Anger

  • 1. So I'm not worried about the emotions I carry with me because I'm happy that I have them I think it's good for the work I do. The emotions that are not healthy are the ones you hold inside like anger.
  • 2. Anger is a good motivator.
  • 3. The fear really hits you. That's what you feel first. And then it's the anger and frustration. Part of the problem is how little we understand about the ultimate betrayal of the body when it rebels against itself.

4 Anniversary

Back then there was so much post-Second World War fear that was imposed on everybody – 'You must live life this way' – and these guys were bored.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I'm drawn to furniture design as complete architecture on a minor scale.
  • 2. But the building's identity resided in the ornament.
  • 3. But I feel truly wowed by the architecture and the meaning of the architecture if you get lost in it and think about the man hours in the smallest little chapel and the love involved. God it's fantastic.
