  • 1. I basically started playing violin at the age of six. That lasted about three years because my previous teacher died and the second teacher didn't really know how to successfully get me going.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I believe in incentivizing people. If you can incentivize people in anything whether it's in politics in life in spirituality in business just take care of folks. Incentivize them and all of a sudden it's amazing the difference that you'll see.
  • 2. Christina Ricci is amazing the most professional actor I think I've ever met. You can be chatting with her and when they call action she's right there.
  • 3. Painting is the most magical of mediums. The transcendence is truly amazing to me every time I go to a museum and I see how somebody figured another way to rub colored dirt on a flat surface and make space where there is no space or make you think of a life experience.

3 Anger

  • 1. It's usually a big kind of vent of frustration or anger or sadness that puts me in the right frame of mind to write. It's such a cliche to say that artists write when they're down but it's true for me. It's a relief to get out what's eating away at my heart or my soul or my head.
  • 2. He that would be angry and sin not must not be angry with anything but sin.
  • 3. Men are fair and they have learned not to personalize anger – they can disagree with you and argue to the bone but afterward they still consider you a nice person with whom the underlying human relationship need not be altered.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Mom and Dad were married 64 years. And if you wondered what their secret was you could have asked the local florist – because every day Dad gave Mom a rose which he put on her bedside table. That's how she found out what happened on the day my father died – she went looking for him because that morning there was no rose.
  • 2. Presently the Commission for Commemorating 350 Years of American Jewish History has been brought about to encourage and sponsor a variety of historical activities that advance our understanding of the American Jewish experience as it marks this milestone anniversary.
  • 3. Last week the House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring the victims and heroes of September 11th. As we commemorate the anniversary of 9-11 we must also remember that the threat is still very real today.

5 Architecture

  • 1. We should concentrate our work not only to a separated housing problem but housing involved in our daily work and all the other functions of the city.
  • 2. It is impossible as impossible as to raise the dead to restore anything that has ever been great or beautiful in architecture. That which I have insisted upon as the life of the whole that spirit which is given only by the hand and eye of the workman can never be recalled.
  • 3. I have no requirements for a style of architecture.
