1 Age

  • 1. English people don't have very good diction. In France you have to pronounce very particularly and clearly and learning French at an early age helped me enormously.
  • 2. With age you get to a place where you don't want to knock people out. You just want to give people a hug.
  • 3. The reason for the sadness of this modern age and the men who live in it is that it looks for the truth in everything and finds it.

2 Amazing

  • 1. It's been such a deep and amazing journey for me getting close to John Keats and also I love Shelley and Byron. I mean the thing about the Romantic poets is that they've got the epitaph of romantic posthumously. They all died really young and Keats the youngest of them all.
  • 2. Although believers by nature are far from God and children of wrath even as others yet it is amazing to think how nigh they are brought to him again by the blood of Jesus Christ.
  • 3. I think that we're in a really amazing time where there are really a lot of really fantastic female actresses and comedians. I imagine there's just a lot of opportunity for women to have powerful roles. Or it's just that there's more women writing TV. Women tend to maybe write strong women.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger will never disappear so long as thoughts of resentment are cherished in the mind. Anger will disappear just as soon as thoughts of resentment are forgotten.
  • 2. I know of no more disagreeable situation than to be left feeling generally angry without anybody in particular to be angry at.
  • 3. Although you may spend your life killing You will not exhaust all your foes. But if you quell your own anger your real enemy will be slain.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. We can't forget what happened on May 4th 1970 when four students gave up their lives because they had the American constitutional right of peaceful protest. They gave up their lives. And to sing that song in that spot on that anniversary was very emotional for us.
  • 2. The day before the anniversary of D-Day we lost a man who was equaled by few and surpassed by none as a leader in the cause of freedom: Ronald Reagan.
  • 3. It was very hard for all of us. It's still very hard. The anniversary of his death just passed and every single one of his friends still after all these years… it's unbelievable.

5 Architecture

  • 1. At this present time matter is still the best way to think of architecture but I'm not so sure for very long. The computer is radicalizing the way we think about our world.
  • 2. Maybe we can show government how to operate better as a result of better architecture. Eventually I think Chicago will be the most beautiful great city left in the world.
  • 3. Proportions are what makes the old Greek temples classic in their beauty. They are like huge blocks from which the air has been literally hewn out between the columns.
