1 Age

  • 1. Ours is an excessively conscious age. We know so much we feel so little.

2 Amazing

  • 1. You know when I was a kid waiting on the bus I remember that was when I imagined my life. I imagined everything that I was gonna be when I grew up and I imagined all of these amazing journeys and amazing people I'd meet. Of course all of it has kind of come to fruition.
  • 2. And it is very sexy as well: somebody says I'm taking you on a surprise date you don't know where you are going and you can't see and then you put your hand out and there is a tiger. Amazing.
  • 3. But I am not going to live for ever. And the more I know it the more amazed I am by being here at all.

3 Anger

  • 1. We're taught to be ashamed of confusion anger fear and sadness and to me they're of equal value to happiness excitement and inspiration.
  • 2. I do like to write nasty songs. It's a useful weapon to have and it's cathartic as well because I create art out of anger something positive out of something negative.
  • 3. I use the music to vent and a lot of the stuff that I am writing about or was writing about contained a lot of anger and anxiety stress and depression so that's how the album came out so dark.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The secret of a happy marriage is finding the right person. You know they're right if you love to be with them all the time.
  • 2. Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
  • 3. It is a matter of public shame that while we have now commemorated our hundredth anniversary not one in every ten children attending Public schools throughout the colonies is acquainted with a single historical fact about Australia.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The logic of Palladian architecture presented an aesthetic formula which could be applied universally.
  • 2. An important work of architecture will create polemics.
  • 3. But I absolutely believe that architecture is a social activity that has to do with some sort of communication or places of interaction and that to change the environment is to change behaviour.
