1 Age

  • 1. I'm 20 years old. I like to party as much as anyone my age. Going clubbing is my way of relaxing or releasing a lot of stress. I don't feel that I should have to justify that part of my life. I don't know that I'm necessarily an addict.
  • 2. Middle age is when your old classmates are so grey and wrinkled and bald they don't recognize you.
  • 3. When I was a little kid I used to play with guys twice my age so I was the last one picked so if I picked I knew that I had to get the ball to the scorer if I wanted to stay on the court so that was pretty much my job.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I enjoy looking at words on paper and visualizing how to make them come to life. As a director the creative process is really amazing.
  • 2. I try as much as possible to give you a great basic product and what comes out I feel is really amazing.
  • 3. Moby Dick – that book is so amazing. I just realized that it starts with two characters meeting in bed that's how my book begins too but I hadn't noticed the parallel before two characters forced to share a bed reluctantly.

3 Anger

  • 1. I've always turned my anger inwards towards self-destruction.
  • 2. To rule one's anger is well to prevent it is better.
  • 3. All improv turns into anger. All comedy improv basically turns into anger because that's all people know how to do when they're improvising. If you notice shows that are improvising are generally people yelling at each other.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I didn't make my first solo record until 1981 so I don't have any 60's or 70's recordings but I am working on a large boxed set called DUST to be released next year the 20th anniversary of my first solo record.
  • 2. But to sustain a marriage for 50 years you have to get real a little bit and find someone who is understanding and who you can grow with. My mom always says 'Marry the man who loves you a millimeter more.'
  • 3. As the third anniversary of the September 11th attacks draws near we must ensure our nation is prepared to handle the continued threat of violence and terrorism on our country.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Any work of architecture that has with it some discussion some polemic I think is good. It shows that people are interested people are involved.
  • 2. You can just drift unhappily towards this vision of heaven on earth and ultimately that is what architecture is a vision of: Heaven on earth at it's best.
  • 3. Architecture should speak of its time and place but yearn for timelessness.
