  • 1. What turns me on about the digital age what excited me personally is that you have closed the gap between dreaming and doing. You see it used to be that if you wanted to make a record of a song you needed a studio and a producer. Now you need a laptop.
  • 2. The people who live in a golden age usually go around complaining how yellow everything looks.
  • 3. Everybody past a certain age regardless of how they look on the outside pretty much constantly dreams of being able to escape from their lives.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I think 'Game of Thrones' was extraordinary. I want to do some period pieces. It would be lovely to tell great stories that is my main ambition. And to be working with amazing creators.
  • 2. You know 'The Golden Girls' was a very unusual show to start on. I was young and it was a show about old people and it was a very traditional show but it was also an amazing training ground for a joke-writer. It forced me to learn those skills.
  • 3. It is pretty amazing. My parents who came from Nicaragua to the U.S. – who would have thought that they would have American kids on the Olympic team? I think that's the epitome of the Olympic dream.

3 Anger

  • 1. I realised one day that men are emotional cripples. We can't express ourselves emotionally we can only do it with anger and humour. Emotional stability and expression comes from women.
  • 2. It is wise to direct your anger towards problems – not people to focus your energies on answers – not excuses.
  • 3. If anger proceeds from a great cause it turns to fury if from a small cause it is peevishness and so is always either terrible or ridiculous.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I didn't make my first solo record until 1981 so I don't have any 60's or 70's recordings but I am working on a large boxed set called DUST to be released next year the 20th anniversary of my first solo record.
  • 2. Marriage is a coming together for better or for worse hopefully enduring and intimate to the degree of being sacred.
  • 3. The day before the anniversary of D-Day we lost a man who was equaled by few and surpassed by none as a leader in the cause of freedom: Ronald Reagan.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Nothing is as dangerous in architecture as dealing with separated problems. If we split life into separated problems we split the possibilities to make good building art.
  • 2. I've always liked traveling around Europe and seeing the architecture. The buildings in capital cities have been there for hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of years. Some look better than the new ones.
  • 3. Those who look for the laws of Nature as a support for their new works collaborate with the creator.
