There's no regret. You can't regret. I mean I've felt regret but I've also refused to allow regret to sow a seed and live in me because I don't believe it. 1 Age

  • 1. My dad encouraged us to fail. Growing up he would ask us what we failed at that week. If we didn't have something he would be disappointed. It changed my mindset at an early age that failure is not the outcome failure is not trying. Don't be afraid to fail.
  • 2. Age gives you a great sense of proportion. You can be very hard on yourself when you're younger but now I just think 'well everybody's absolutely mad and I'm doing quite well'.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I've also long since realized that the way to really engage children is to give out prizes it's amazing how it concentrates their minds.

3 Anger

4 Anniversary

  • 1. The chances of a reunion now are less likely. I was thinking of having a 40th anniversary of the band but now they are really another band so it's all a bit weird.
  • 2. Last week the House of Representatives passed a resolution honoring the victims and heroes of September 11th. As we commemorate the anniversary of 9-11 we must also remember that the threat is still very real today.
  • 3. The day before the anniversary of D-Day we lost a man who was equaled by few and surpassed by none as a leader in the cause of freedom: Ronald Reagan.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture is a science arising out of many other sciences and adorned with much and varied learning by the help of which a judgment is formed of those works which are the result of other arts.
  • 2. The new architecture of transparency and lightness comes from Japan and Europe.
  • 3. I'm often called an old-fashioned modernist. But the modernists had the absurd idea that architecture could heal the world. That's impossible. And today nobody expects architects to have these grand visions any more.
