These days too many of us seem inclined to cover our ears close our eyes and blindly follow the most narrow conservative tenets of religion or else seek comfort in the ancient traditions of New Age ritual.

There is no age height or weight requirement to skate. It is good exercise no matter what your age is. If you want to be competitive most start young. But I practice with many adult competitors.

1 Age

And so to our list of disasters let us add this fourth entry: we have entered an age of folly that – for all our Facebooking and the twittling tweedle-dee-tweets of the twitterati – we can't wake up from.

2 Amazing

  • 2. At 13 when I was a runaway I was taken in by the most amazing drag queens in Portland Ore. We didn't always know where our next meal was coming from but there was so much camaraderie and love. Not to mention those girls could paint a face and I learned how because of them.
  • 3. It's better to get the nutrients for healthy skin from food not supplements. Salmon walnuts blueberries spinach… lots of my favorite foods happen to be amazing for skin too.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger and intolerance are the enemies of correct understanding.
  • 2. The anger in the Brigade against those who fought the Republic in the rear was sharpened by reports of weapons even tanks being kept from the front and hidden for treacherous purposes.
  • 3. And I think there's something about conservatives frankly – and the Left when it comes to their channels of persuasion are unpersuasive. They are most of them are hate-filled obscenity-clogged rants of anger and hatred.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. This year as we celebrate the 230th anniversary of America's independence please remember the symbols that are sacred to this country. Fly Old Glory high and show your respect and admiration for this great nation and the values we hold dear.
  • 2. And currently there are four to five new works in the pipeline for upcoming celebrations such as the Sydney 2000 Olympics Australian Federation my 50th Birthday and Sydney Dance Company's 25th Anniversary.
  • 3. We had a relationship that lasted 44 years. Herbert and I lived together 10 years before we were married. He always gave me a little heart for whatever anniversary.

5 Architecture

  • 1. French architecture always manages to combine the most magnificent underlying themes of architecture like Roman design it looks to the community.
  • 2. The bungalow had more to do with how Americans live today than any other building that has gone remotely by the name of architecture in our history.
  • 3. Every time a student walks past a really urgent expressive piece of architecture that belongs to his college it can help reassure him that he does have that mind does have that soul.
