1 Age

  • 1. I have always felt that a woman has the right to treat the subject of her age with ambiguity until perhaps she passes into the realm of over ninety. Then it is better she be candid with herself and with the world.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I like what I see now in China but I think the Japanese are a step ahead into craziness and weirdness. I go to galleries there that are the size of a New York elevator and every time I'm surprised by the amazing things I find. I really hope I'll be able to promote some of these artists to show their work in the West.
  • 2. I believe in incentivizing people. If you can incentivize people in anything whether it's in politics in life in spirituality in business just take care of folks. Incentivize them and all of a sudden it's amazing the difference that you'll see.
  • 3. Yoga's an amazing release.

3 Anger

  • 1. The anger that Uncle Junior has comes from my background. My father was the son of an Italian immigrant and I've seen the fire of the Italian temperament. It can be explosive sometimes in ways that are both funny and tragic.
  • 2. I think that all the anger and cynicism comes from suppressing things that we always wanted.
  • 3. Imagine a thousand more such daily intrusions in your life every hour and minute of every day and you can grasp the source of this paranoia this anger that could consume me at any moment if I lost control.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Never tell a secret to a bride or a groom wait until they have been married longer.
  • 2. We are not the same persons this year as last nor are those we love. It is a happy chance if we changing continue to love a changed person.
  • 3. The chances of a reunion now are less likely. I was thinking of having a 40th anniversary of the band but now they are really another band so it's all a bit weird.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Every building is a prototype. No two are alike.
  • 2. But after the time there I'd had it with fashion again so I left to go to architecture school in a summer course at Harvard which didn't last very long.
  • 3. The intellectual force of the West is still dominant but other cultures are getting stronger. I expect that we will develop a new way of thinking in architecture and urban planning and that less will be based on our models.
