  • 1. An archaeologist is the best husband a woman can have. The older she gets the more interested he is in her.

2 Amazing

3 Anger

  • 3. Somebody hits me I'm going to hit him back. Even if it does look like he hasn't eaten in a while.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I didn't make my first solo record until 1981 so I don't have any 60's or 70's recordings but I am working on a large boxed set called DUST to be released next year the 20th anniversary of my first solo record.
  • 2. Marriage is an alliance entered into by a man who can't sleep with the window shut and a woman who can't sleep with the window open.
  • 3. You marry somebody you love everything about them. You grow to learn about them. You never learn everything.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Architecture is involved with the world but at the same time it has a certain autonomy. This autonomy cannot be explained in terms of traditional logic because the most interesting parts of the work are non-verbal. They operate within the terms of the work like any art.
  • 2. Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.
  • 3. My buildings will be my legacy… they will speak for me long after I'm gone.
