1 Age

  • 1. It is a blessed thing that in every age some one has had the individuality enough and courage enough to stand by his own convictions.
  • 2. And in my own life in my own small way I've tried to give back to this country that has given me so much. That's why I left a job at a law firm for a career in public service working to empower young people to volunteer in their communities. 2 Amazing

  • 1. The most amazing thing to me about the sea is the tide. A harbour like St. Ives is totally transformed in a very short space of time by the arrival or departure of the sea.
  • 2. Most of the southern hemisphere is unexplored. We had more exploration ships down there during Captain Cook's time than now. It's amazing.
  • 3. Fame and stuff like that is all very cool but at the end of the day we're all human beings. Although what I do is incredibly surreal and fun and amazing and I'm really grateful for it I don't believe my own press release do you know what I mean?

3 Anger

  • 1. I was very fortunate to play sports. All the anger in me went out. I had to do what I had to do. If you stay angry all the time then you really don't have a good life.
  • 2. I was never jailed. The fact is that I was arrested but I went into a diversion programme and by that time I'd already begun working in what was called anger management. It was a painful and awful moment.
  • 3. He took over anger to intimidate subordinates and in time anger took over him.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I was always very grateful to 'em and am grateful to 'em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw the worse things got for me musically.
  • 2. Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
  • 3. My last trip to New Orleans was for the fifth anniversary of Katrina and I had the awesome opportunity to bring my family down. We all worked on a house together and met some of the families.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Cities are the greatest creations of humanity.
  • 2. Trying to describe something musical is like dancing to architecture it's really difficult.
  • 3. We are stymied by regulations limited choice and the threat of litigation. Neither consultants nor industry itself provide research which takes architecture forward.
