The right to a quality education is I believe the perfect path to bridge the gap between different cultures and to reconcile various civilizations. Without such a right the values of liberty justice and equality will have no meaning. Ignorance is by far the biggest danger and threat to humankind.

Feudal societies don't create great cinema we have great theatre. The egalitarian societies create great cinema. The Americans the French. Because equality is sort of what the cinema deals with. It deals with stories which don't fall into 'Everybody in their place and who's who ' and all that. But the theatre's full of that.

There's a remarkable amount of sexism on TV. When male characters are flawed they're interesting deep and complex. But when female characters are flawed they're just a mess. It's good to put more flawed but interesting female characters out there because it promotes equality.

'Vote Love' means vote equality. It means vote change. It means vote what's right for humanity.

We will have bigger bureaucracies bigger labor unions and bigger state-run corporations. It will be harder to be an entrepreneur because of punitive taxes and regulations. The rewards of success will be expropriated for the sake of attaining greater income equality.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I think that we're in a really amazing time where there are really a lot of really fantastic female actresses and comedians. I imagine there's just a lot of opportunity for women to have powerful roles. Or it's just that there's more women writing TV. Women tend to maybe write strong women.
  • 2. My wife a schoolteacher very disciplined. If you think I'm tough trust me and wait till you see when the children are on the naughty step. It's hilarious. So we decided that I'm going to work like a donkey and provide amazing support for the family.
  • 3. At first I missed it but it was the amazing energy thing that happened during shows when a lot of people were like Yay Yay Yeah! I missed that for a while. But I don't miss the regular and the business side of that whole thing.

3 Anger

  • 1. As the plane got closer to Miami I had this terrible feeling he was dying. Maybe he was telling me that he was going. I felt anger panic despair and helplessness.
  • 2. And we know there has been horrendous loss of life and suffering and we know that there is anger. Anyone who came anywhere near the general election in constituencies with a substantial Muslim population knows that.
  • 3. I think that all the anger and cynicism comes from suppressing things that we always wanted.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Experts on romance say for a happy marriage there has to be more than a passionate love. For a lasting union they insist there must be a genuine liking for each other. Which in my book is a good definition for friendship.
  • 2. This year as we celebrate the 230th anniversary of America's independence please remember the symbols that are sacred to this country. Fly Old Glory high and show your respect and admiration for this great nation and the values we hold dear.
  • 3. Since I wrote to you last we have got our chapel beautifully lighted with gas and have had our anniversary.

5 Architecture

  • 1. If architecture had nothing to do with art it would be astonishingly easy to build houses but the architect's task – his most difficult task – is always that of selecting.
  • 2. Architecture is the learned game correct and magnificent of forms assembled in the light.
  • 3. The architecture profession has lost a lot of its integrity especially in the USA. The general architect here has no scruples no ambitions.
