Feudal societies don't create great cinema we have great theatre. The egalitarian societies create great cinema. The Americans the French. Because equality is sort of what the cinema deals with. It deals with stories which don't fall into 'Everybody in their place and who's who ' and all that. But the theatre's full of that.

There's a remarkable amount of sexism on TV. When male characters are flawed they're interesting deep and complex. But when female characters are flawed they're just a mess. It's good to put more flawed but interesting female characters out there because it promotes equality.

'Vote Love' means vote equality. It means vote change. It means vote what's right for humanity.

We will have bigger bureaucracies bigger labor unions and bigger state-run corporations. It will be harder to be an entrepreneur because of punitive taxes and regulations. The rewards of success will be expropriated for the sake of attaining greater income equality.

2 Amazing

  • 1. I like making pies. I have a bunch of fruit trees in my backyard. My loquat tree sprouted and I like making loquat pie. They're really hard to peel and everything and it took me forever but they make the best pies. They're amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. Generalised anger and frustration is something that gets you in the studio and gets you to work – though it's not necessarily evident in anything that's finished.
  • 2. I grew up looking at my father as to how to behave. In watching him I grasped so many things. His own temperament was of a calm person. He was very composed and I never saw anger in him. To me that was fascinating.
  • 3. I also had to work through the violation of my date rape my unhealthy relationships with men my anger toward the people involved in the scandal and those who exploited me afterwards.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Marriage is an alliance entered into by a man who can't sleep with the window shut and a woman who can't sleep with the window open.
  • 2. I was always very grateful to 'em and am grateful to 'em now. I went back a couple of years ago and did their 20th anniversary show. But the longer I stayed on Hee Haw the worse things got for me musically.
  • 3. There is no more lovely friendly and charming relationship communion or company than a good marriage.

5 Architecture

  • 1. The art of dancing stands at the source of all the arts that express themselves first in the human person. The art of building or architecture is the beginning of all the arts that lie outside the person and in the end they unite.
