1 Age

2 Amazing

  • 1. Giving birth was the most amazing thing I've ever done. I'd been living in a Third World country and I said 'I'm going to just squat behind a tree.' I basically did that but in a chair in my living room. I didn't want a sterile hospital room. I didn't want doctors. I had a midwife.

3 Anger

  • 1. But one of the hardest things for me to do was to access anger. I could do it on stage. But when I did it on film it was hard for me. That probably has to do with the intimacy of film. And my own personal issues with expressing anger. So I had to learn how to do that.
  • 2. Forgiveness is the economy of the heart… forgiveness saves the expense of anger the cost of hatred the waste of spirits.
  • 3. When someone says that I'm angry it's actually a compliment. I have not always been direct with my anger in my relationships which is part of why I'd write about it in my songs because I had such fear around expressing anger as a woman.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. I've been in love with the same woman for forty-one years. If my wife finds out she'll kill me.
  • 2. I did that Dior Couture 60th anniversary show in July. It took so long to get ready I think I would have rather been watching.
  • 3. Next month I will celebrate my 30th anniversary of marriage with my beautiful bride Vicki. Our marriage has been a blessing. I have gained even more respect for the institution over the past 3 decades and will defend it against attack.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Organic architecture seeks superior sense of use and a finer sense of comfort expressed in organic simplicity.
  • 2. The new architecture of transparency and lightness comes from Japan and Europe.
