1 Age

  • 1. The older generation had greater respect for land than science. But we live in an age when science more than soil has become the provider of growth and abundance. Living just on the land creates loneliness in an age of globality.
  • 2. One of the many pleasures of old age is giving things up.
  • 3. I've spent as much as 30 grand on a watch but it's not about flaunting my wealth. I don't have many extravagances but watches are my biggest one. I must have 30 of them now. I've been collecting since the age of nine when I won a black TAG in a karting event.

2 Amazing

  • 1. When I tour it's like well like a food tour as much as a comedy tour. I try to eat at all the weird places the obscure barbecue joints burger places. There are a few spots in L.A. that I'm obsessed with – one of them is the Taco Zone taco truck on Alvarado. There are secret off-menu items that are amazing.
  • 2. You can lose a game but I see guys every week including myself you lose a game it's a tough loss you're down two weeks later you forgot about it. You know it's amazing how down you were but all of the sudden you're like it never happened.
  • 3. I've seen Bruno Mars before he's amazing.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger is a transient hatred or at least very like it.
  • 2. Religion can emerge in all forms of feeling: here wild anger there the sweetest pain here consuming hatred there the childlike smile of serene humility.
  • 3. I'm not as angry as I used to be. But I can get in touch with that anger pretty quickly if I feel my space is being invaded or somebody is not treating me with the respect that I think I want.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Chains do not hold a marriage together. It is threads hundreds of tiny threads which sew people together through the years.
  • 2. Actually the year anniversary of what you just heard my son Grahame and I are going to be in a play together and I'm acting for the first time in front of an audience that doesn't consist of a high school drama class.
  • 3. I did that Dior Couture 60th anniversary show in July. It took so long to get ready I think I would have rather been watching.

5 Architecture

  • 1. Today's developer is a poor substitute for the committed entrepreneur of the last century for whom the work of architecture represented a chance to celebrate the worth of his enterprise.
  • 2. Maybe we can show government how to operate better as a result of better architecture. Eventually I think Chicago will be the most beautiful great city left in the world.
  • 3. It is not the beauty of a building you should look at its the construction of the foundation that will stand the test of time.
