2 Amazing

  • 1. The other day I was reading a blog and I linked over to Streisand's Web site and it was amazing politically. She's so insightful and incisive. And she also says whatever she wants.
  • 2. I tell you it was kind of two-fold. I fortunately had a lot of support. My coach was amazing – he told me to focus on being prepared and that is what I did. Every athlete is nervous – any athlete who tells you they're not nervous isn't telling you the truth. I was as prepared as I could be.
  • 3. 'Chasing Amy' was an amazing role but then after that I went and did 'Big Daddy' and you're the girlfriend or you're the best friend. I wasn't getting the Nicole Kidman roles.

3 Anger

  • 1. Men make angry music and it's called rock-and-roll women include anger in their vocabulary and suddenly they're angry and militant.
  • 2. And I think there's something about conservatives frankly – and the Left when it comes to their channels of persuasion are unpersuasive. They are most of them are hate-filled obscenity-clogged rants of anger and hatred.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Mr. Speaker I rise today to recognize the Peace Corps as it reached its 45th anniversary on March 1 2006.
  • 2. The London games mark the 24th anniversary of my winning two golds and setting the world record in the heptathlon. Someone is going to want it records are made to be broken – it's only a matter of time. I hope mine will outlive me.

5 Architecture

  • 1. I could have been an architect but I don't think I'd have been very happy. Nearly all modern architecture is a silly game as far as I can see.
  • 2. Of course I know very little about architecture and the older I get the less I know.
  • 3. I try to give people a different way of looking at their surroundings. That's art to me.
