1 Age

  • 1. No but way before that I've been doing little dances in movies for years. Yeah that was an amazing chance. You know at my age to be able to do a music dance video very unusual.
  • 2. I don't mind my age.
  • 3. I'm never overawed by a situation and I think that's because I've always looked several years older than I am. So because people were treating me like I was 40 when I was 29 I've always felt in control of a situation. People used to say when you're 32 you'll look 32. I'm still waiting for that moment where my age catches up with my appearance.

2 Amazing

  • 1. You can muck around with different guitars for certain bits but you have to have your own sound. That's your benchmark that's your sound. I also play a Black Beauty. It sounds amazing.
  • 2. If you get half a million at a certain stage you probably will get 4 million people if they are able to hear it. The touring thing is unbelievable. It really is amazing from what we did the last tour even to what we are doing now.
  • 3. The attitude is we live and let live. This is actually an amazing change in values in a rather short time and it's an example of freedom from religion.

3 Anger

  • 1. Anger becomes limiting restricting. You can't see through it. While anger is there look at that too. But after a while you have to look at something else.
  • 2. My friends love is better than anger. Hope is better than fear. Optimism is better than despair. So let us be loving hopeful and optimistic. And we'll change the world.
  • 3. I know of no more disagreeable situation than to be left feeling generally angry without anybody in particular to be angry at.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Love is not weakness. It is strong. Only the sacrament of marriage can contain it.
  • 2. Next month I will celebrate my 30th anniversary of marriage with my beautiful bride Vicki. Our marriage has been a blessing. I have gained even more respect for the institution over the past 3 decades and will defend it against attack.
  • 3. You marry somebody you love everything about them. You grow to learn about them. You never learn everything.

5 Architecture

  • 1. There are no rules of architecture for a castle in the clouds.
  • 2. Proportions are what makes the old Greek temples classic in their beauty. They are like huge blocks from which the air has been literally hewn out between the columns.
  • 3. Until the Eighties Oslo was a rather boring town but it's changed a lot and is now much more cosmopolitan. If I go downtown I visit the harbour to see the tall ships and the ferries and to admire the modern architecture such as the Opera House or the new Astrup Fearnley Museum on the water's edge.
