We all grew up our grandmothers and mothers had about three channels to watch so we watched those soaps and now a generation has grown up with the Internet and computers and video games.

We can just assume they have much more and powerful more advanced technology all the new computers everything could be much more easier and help them to build much more and many more nuclear weapons.

Well my wife always says to me and I think it's true it's very difficult for us to understand the Elizabethan understanding and enjoyment and perception of form as it is to say… it would be for them to understand computers or going to the moon or something.

1 Age

3 Anger

  • 1. I realised one day that men are emotional cripples. We can't express ourselves emotionally we can only do it with anger and humour. Emotional stability and expression comes from women.
  • 2. Anybody can become angry – that is easy but to be angry with the right person and to the right degree and at the right time and for the right purpose and in the right way – that is not within everybody's power and is not easy.
  • 3. But one of the hardest things for me to do was to access anger. I could do it on stage. But when I did it on film it was hard for me. That probably has to do with the intimacy of film. And my own personal issues with expressing anger. So I had to learn how to do that.

4 Anniversary

  • 1. Next month I will celebrate my 30th anniversary of marriage with my beautiful bride Vicki. Our marriage has been a blessing. I have gained even more respect for the institution over the past 3 decades and will defend it against attack.
  • 2. So while an incredible amount of progress has been made on this fifth anniversary I wanted to come here and tell the people of this city directly: My administration is going to stand with you – and fight alongside you – until the job is done. Until New Orleans is all the way back all the way.
  • 3. But to sustain a marriage for 50 years you have to get real a little bit and find someone who is understanding and who you can grow with. My mom always says 'Marry the man who loves you a millimeter more.'

5 Architecture

  • 1. I quit college. I was studying architecture for about a year.
  • 2. I would like to attend college in the future when I have time. I have always been interested in architecture so perhaps I would pursue a degree in that or business.
  • 3. Nothing is as dangerous in architecture as dealing with separated problems. If we split life into separated problems we split the possibilities to make good building art.
